This proved an extremely useful experience in light of the anticipated Public Inquiry into the proposed Horsham Incinerator.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the first day, the Public Gallery was packed with members of the public keen to make their voices heard, concerned about the thousands of tonnes of rubbish from London, which could be shipped into Swindon if the controversial incinerator gets the go ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Appellant\u2019s Barrister asked whether it would be a surprise to see a\n52 metre high chimney stack rising from a Swindon Industrial Park. A\nspokesperson for Ni4H said: \u201cWe asked the same question about the height of the\nchimney stack for the proposed Horsham Incinerator &#8211; would it be a surprise to\nsee a 95 metre high chimney stack rising from the rural area of North Horsham?\nWe thought the answer would be \u2018yes, a very shocking surprise\u2019, one which would\ngive the impression of an industrialised town.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rolton Kilbride on behalf of Legal and General is attempting to overturn Swindon Borough Council\u2019s decision to refuse permission to build an incinerator at Keypoint in South Marston.
