Residents attended the meeting to demonstrate the strength\nof opinion against the proposed Horsham incinerator. The No Incinerator 4\nHorsham (Ni4H) Community Group was represented by a barrister from London-based\nLandmark Chambers. The Planning Inspector has asked Ni4H to submit a Statement\nof Case expressing robust objections. He has also invited the group to become a\n\u2018Rule 6 Party\u2019 so it can take part in the Public Inquiry which starts on 29<sup>th<\/sup>\nOctober in Horsham. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Ni4H is unable to commit to\nRule 6 status to represent residents without sufficient funds for a barrister and\ntechnical experts for the 3-week Public Inquiry and for technical reports due\nin July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin Slatter, Vice Chairman of Ni4H\nsaid: &#8220;While\nwe continue to fight the development of the Horsham incinerator, the\npre-hearing meeting has reinforced the need for us to have a full time\nbarrister on the team.&nbsp; We can&#8217;t do this without public support and\nfunding.&nbsp; Please help us fight for the right decision for Horsham and the\nlocal community.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents in Swindon say they are\nappalled and disgusted that a huge energy plant powered by waste would &nbsp;be built on their doorstep as the outcome of\ntheir Public Inquiry was published.
