Financial close for the incinerator proposed in North Horsham, with a 95m chimney and 230,000 tonnes of waste per year, has not been reached. A Non-Material Amendment planning application is expected. You can make your voice count, write to your MP, sign the petition before 7th September and encourage others to join you.

We are hoping that many people will reach out to their MP to call for them to press the Government to update relevant planning policies without delay, strengthen regulation of the incineration industry, and begin work on new measures to halve residual waste.
Nearly 17,000 people have now signed the petition at https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/710486 (which closes on 7th September 2025) calling for an immediate ban on new waste incinerators and for the revocation of permits where building has not begun, and this new action builds on that achievement.
